I’m mainly looking for walnut, I would prefer is be larger than 12” at the small end and be 8’ or longer but I’ll take shorter chunks if they have a good wood in it. Or crotch pieces. I will pay good money for walnut. $1.50-$3.00 per board foot.
I also buy ash, red maple, cherry. I like them to be at least 14” at the small end and 8’+. I normally pay $750/1000
I will also consider poplar and white oak as long as they’re perfectly strait and clear, they need to be 24” because I quarter saw them. I also pay $750/1000 on this but can go higher on white oak if it’s super nice
I’m also down for more odd stuff like elm, butternut and red maples that are short and stumpy that are loaded with ambrosia.
