I'm 42 years old and grew up in Savannah Georgia on Wilmington Island. I spent a lot of my childhood at the beach or on a boat which is what led me into carpentry. I started with a dock building company as a summer job in high school and never stopped building after that. I also used to restore old boats and build simple furniture with my dad.
In 2014 I decided to hike the Appalachian Trail and completed all 2,184 miles in five and a half months. After visiting some friends here in Asheville I decided to make it my home in February of 2015.
I have left for various adventures like paddling 500 miles of the Mississippi River and road tripping out west for nearly two years but I always end up back here.
