Up for sale here is my Gibson L-47 archtop guitar. Had this listed a bit ago but took it down as I was unsure if I wanted to part with it or not. Trying to slim down the collection a bit so feel free to take a look at the other guitars I have listed. This guitar is very awesome. Super punchy and full sound which I wasnt expecting from this guitar. These were only made for a few years 1940-1943. As far as I can tell there is no markings on the guitar stating which year exactly. Much like the Kalamazoo Oriele, this guitar feature the flamed maple back and sides which I think is stunning. The pickguard has definitely seen better days, as it has deteriorated quite a bit. I’ve heard that this was pretty common with the tortoise guards of the period when the guitars were left in the case. Someone took the time to glue the remaining portion of the guard to a thin veneer. Not beautiful but at least it’s still there. There are other cosmetic issues making this a players guitar but plays like a dream with low action. Includes a newer hardshell case that fits the guitar great! Let me know if you have any questions and all the best
