The Nechville Moonshine brings Heli-Mount technology to the openback market.
Its high tech Excelsior frame yields a smooth musical sound from a perfectly tensioned head. This is the same technology that Nechville resonator banjos employ to grant huge flexibility in tone, setup, and tonal (and tone ring) options.
But this openback banjo ALSO has a “convertible” resonator. Easily remove or put back on the full size resonator — no tools needed. Attaches snugly to the rim with four inner clips. Easily switch in seconds from an old time to a bluegrass sound.
Exceptionally light banjo. Play/wear it all night with no shoulder stress.
Set up with super fast action for ease of fretting.
Frailing channel takes the place of a scoop for clawhammer style that’s easy on the thumb (see photo).
