This is an Ovation 1121-4 Artist Balladeer Vintage Solid Top Acoustic Guitar, made in 1975.
The Artist Balladeer, model 1121, was introduced in 1970 as a shallower bowl version of the Balladeer. The Artist depth bowl (also shared with the Glen Campbell Artist and Country Artist models), is about 3/4 inch shallower than the deep bowl. Other features include chrome Grover tuners, 5 piece neck, Sitka spruce top and Mother-of-Pearl dot inlays.
Guitar is in overall good shape, there is a finish crack on the top from the bottom of the bout to the bridge at the bottom E string.
Comes with the original Ovation case, which has some cracking on the corners.
Signed "Peace, from Kris Kristofferson" on the top. Got the guitar with the signature already on it (I bought it from somewhere over 20 years ago, who got it from their local guitar shop, who believes the seller was legitimate and had a story to go with the signature, but it's been a while and I cannot remember. Signature looks legitimate, based on on-line examples.
