1966 Fender Princeton AA964 circuit
Black Panel made Oct. 1966
Very good condition. After consulting with an amp tech he said it's a very good condition original Princeton minus what he thinks is a 1971 genuine Schumacher power transformer. The output transformer is original and is what is most significant for tone. Jenson C10NS speaker made 19th week of 1966 (4.5" diameter magnet). Blue molded caps. Tolex and grill clothe are excellent with a few minor scuffs.
I have owned this amp since 1999 and only used as a bedroom amp. Played every month to keep things moving. I have never had a hiccup from this amp. New tubes, 3 prong cord (still have original 2-prong) based on memory in 2009 or 2010. Very well taken care of. I just put the original speaker back in, sounds fine, but was using an Eminence Allesandro to save the original (will include Allesandro for extra $90 if interested). I haven't spent enough time with it to tell which I like more.
I have owned and played a variety of vintage Fenders such as a 68' drip edge Princeton Reverb, 65' vibro champ, brown panel super, and a black panel pro reverb. This is the amp that made the cut because of its versatility. It takes pedals extremely well. I imagine this is the tone Leo was after all those years with its headroom and cleans. The bias tube tremolo is unparalleled. Includes a foots-witch for trem.
Selling because I have a very large family and rarely have opportunities to play loud. As a result I typically am grabbing the parlor guitar.
