The Vidiot is a discontinued analog video synthesis instrument from LZX Industries, designed in collaboration with Dan Bucciano. It has become increasingly rare and sought after by video artists, VJs, and experimental filmmakers. Not many of these were produced, and they do not come up for sale very often.
Honestly, I’m a little hesitant to sell it because it’s such a cool and fun instrument to use, but I’m thinning out some gear and seeing if there’s interest.
These units are rare even without the original accessories, so finding one complete and in excellent condition like this is becoming increasingly uncommon.
Included:
• Original power adapter
• Original manual
• Original patch cables (1 red, 1 blue)
Vidiot is a complete standalone analog video synthesis instrument capable of generating complex visuals in real time. It can easily produce analog shapes and patterns, audiovisualization, colorization, keying effects, external video processing, and much more.
It is a fully self-contained video instrument with everything needed to connect directly to a display and begin creating video art immediately. It also integrates with the broader LZX video synthesis ecosystem, and any audio or CV source can be patched into its 13 inputs for modulation and experimentation.
