About me: I live on a 4.5 acre property in Burnsville (Prices Creek area) with a relatively small vegetable garden. I am also trying to restore the banks of the creek that was washed out in Helene. I am certified in Natural Farming (KNF) and am an avid student of other regenerative forms of building soil - no till, biodynamic, composting etc. I am not a market gardener, just passionate about doing the best for the land and community.
About you: I am looking for a hard working motivated reliable helper. It's not required that you are familiar with (or are passionate about) soil health, regenerative processes or permaculture- but that is certainly a bonus, as is any experience working in gardens, with native plants, restoration landscaping, permaculture etc.
About the work:
Compost help
Starting new beds
Planting cover crops
Weeding
Planting trees
Moving mulch and mulching
Applying various homemade inputs
Light mowing in the garden itself
Watering
Hours are flexible - but obviously mornings and late afternoons/evenings are easiest in hot weather.
$20/hour, 10-15 hours/week
Please tell me about your experience and interest level when you respond. Thank you!
