It was 'created' on an old 'out of the country' coin which has a star and a crescent moon on it and is from 1981. The stone is a sky-colored piece of glass and not a real stone, I believe. The dangles on it do have a small heart on it. It does make sounds, a pleasant tinkling sound from the dangles. The full size is 3.5 inches. It comes with a faux leather cord for immediate wear.
