1980's? Solid wood/heavy. The base is 7" x 7" and is 1.5" thick. the top 'base' is 5.5" x 5.5". The wood part is 17" tall. It is a working lamp. I believe it was made by a private individual in their own workshop. It is solid wood and heavy (won't topple). Rare. Not made in China. I also have a 'harp' I can give you with it (if you want to put a shade on it).
