Made from extremely heavy-duty plastic with a tight-fitting lid. Very sturdy and durable. Lid separates from container for easy cleaning. "Chicago 31 U.S.A." is stamped into the plastic, the postal zone format used from the 1940s through the early 1960s. There is also a neat art deco pattern that is raised and located on three sides of the container, designed for slip-free gripping. Measures just under 8 ½ inches tall with the lid on, and 4 ¼ inches in diameter at the widest point. This belonged to my great-grandfather. Smoke-free home. Pet-free home.
