In the same household since. No tops. Made out of some kind of plastic that is hard and durable. Sizes are: Yellow one is 5 inches tall and has a 4.5" diameter. The orange one is 6.5" tall and has a 5.5" diameter. I also have other orange and yellow kitchen items from the 1970's (all from the same smoke-free and pet-free home). Will last another 50 years! I love how well they used to make things and how they were made to last!
