Hellebores (Lenten and Christmas Roses) - $3 (Mills River, NC)

These hellebore plants are also called Christmas or Lenten roses because they bloom in winter. The colors will be predominately pink and red with some white ones. They are 100% deer proof. They like winter sun and summer shade. The first picture is my hellebore garden and what these plants will look like in a year or two.
If you know these plants, you know that they can cost close to $20 at a nursery when they are in half gallon pots and blooming after 3 years. They are wonderful plants to brighten up a winter day and they are at a bargain price.
