This "platform rocking chair" was built to last... as you will see in the pictures. The rounded wood design of the rocking mechanism rests and functions on the "platform" (the base) of the chair; a genuinely unique design from the "well-built furniture era." It is a family heirloom, but I just do not have room to display or use it. It truly needs a home in which it can be seen, used, and displayed when not in use. It does have a small spring underneath (one on each side) that assists/supports the rocking motion when used. This antique needs a little TLC - maybe some glue in a couple of places. Other than that, it is genuinely a "keeper" for anyone seeking to enhance the rustic and/or antique setting in their home!
