GAMES TABLE WITH TWO CHAIRS - $1,500 (Cullowhee/Glenville/Cashiers)

I have it on good authority (namely that of a former Universal Furniture sales executive), that this table combines solid maple with marquetry in prized tiger maple and pecan. The table is 30" tall, with a generous 40" x 40" top surface, and with integrated chess-checkers/backgammon boards, four felted storage drawers, and two matching, upholstered chairs on castors. No scratches or damage.
This sale does NOT include the wrought-iron lamp, the set of chess pieces, and the broad chess board which you see in the first photo. I show these things simply to stimulate your imagination.
According to tags under the chairs, the manufacturer was Universal Furniture, a premium home-furnishings brand headquartered in Taiwan. Universal Furniture is well-known locally in WNC as the company which bought out Southern Furniture (Conover, NC, just east of Hickory), a famous, long-established, made-to-order upholstery company.
I purchased the table and chairs from Furniture South (Highlands, NC) in 1999 when I moved to this area and needed to furnish my home.
I am quite certain that this model of table was discontinued quite some time ago, so lucky is the person who can find one today. It's a rare find, especially in this fine condition. And with this quality of construction, size, and elegant appearance.
I hope that this table will find a new home with an avid chess player. Or with a family which enjoys regular 'games nights.'
TERMS OF SALE
Sale is 'CASH and CARRY.' The table is sold "AS IS," and the sale is FINAL (no returns or refunds).
Generally, I require exact-amount greenback cash (which I can verify as not counterfeit) for this sale (no checks, no credit/debit cards, no financing, no layaway/holding). If possible, a mixture of $20s and $50s. I cannot make change.
But, at my discretion, I will accept Zelle (and only Zelle). To use Zelle, you must be enrolled at your bank, and you must have a transfer/spending limit which is high enough to cover the purchase price. CHECK WITH YOUR BANK.
And you must come to my place and remove the table from my home. You must also bring your own tools (the table legs detach), as well as boxing and packing materials to protect the table and chairs during transport.
