My parents bought this dining set new in the early 1960s and they took very good care of it. This set includes a 3-door cabinet, a 2-door cabinet upon which a hutch with glass doors rests, a dining table that includes two insertable leaves (not pictured), a serving cart and 8 chairs. Only 4 of the chairs are pictured, but the set includes 8 chairs, all of which are in similar condition except that one chair has a hairline crack on the topmost portion of the chair back. Two of the chairs have arms (6 with no arms + 2 with arms). All chairs have been reupholstered.
I was tempted to describe this set as being in excellent condition because most of it is, but the light insert on the top of the serving cart is cracked and could use some repair. As I'm posting this, I see that the picture of the serving cart was taken from the rear of the cart. The front is similar and is in similar condition except that it has three doors, The set also includes a pad for the table, but the pad has been degraded by careless storage. The smaller cabinet darkened a bit over the years except for where the glass hutch rests, but this is a non-issue when the glass hutch is in its place. The degradation of the table pad, the crack on the material on the top of the serving cart and the hairline crack in the back of one of the chairs are the reasons I've opted to not describe this set as excellent.
The table that's pictured behind the 4 chairs is not part of this set nor is the whiskey barrel.
This furniture is well made in its in very good condition.
