From the 1920's or 1930's. Strong, thick oak legs. This is a very unusual (vintage/antique) rare solid oak director's chair/bar chair/high chair/plant stand which has to be seen to be fully appreciated. I have been using it as a plant stand. There IS a metal frame for the seat which has ball bearings in it for swivel action and the hardware on it to bolt it to the wood seat part, which I can include with this stool/chair/stand.
The height from the floor to the seat is 28 inches. The top seat portion (as is without the metal part bolted on) is 9 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches.
The legs are fat pieces of solid oak. Great for heavy weights!
The only thing missing is a seat (which of course is simple to make and pad with your favorite material) if you want to sit on it instead of using it as a stand. I actually have the original metal swivel 'seat' that came with it, as well as the oak 'fan back' if you want to purchase all three pieces and put it back together as it was originally.
