No plastic, no artificial plastic fillers, no off-gassing. The zipper is metal and works great! Thickly padded.
I have had it in storage for decades in my attic ~ just in case I needed an extra one ~ (I do a lot of camping). Just saw it the other day and realized I have not used it ever since I got it more than 20 years ago and now decided to sell it. I don't know anything about it. It looks like an army sleeping mummy bag but has no tags on it (maybe the lettering washed away long ago?) Does have a 'leather' patch under the zipper (which you can see in the photos).
Some of the photos are of it hanging on a bar. The inside and outside appear really clean and it has no odors whatsoever. There are a few small holes in the outside cotton which I have put fabric glue around to keep it from fraying. These small holes can be 'fixed' with some pretty fabric or ?
It is not down nor any feathers involved. The inside is a thick cotton batting.
The size is: Length is approx. 70"; biggest width (lying flat) is about 30"; the narrowest part at the feet is approx. 16" measured flat.
Mummy style sleeping bags are lighter and less bulky than comparably rated rectangular bags, making them ideal for backpacking and backcountry camping. Heat efficiency in rectangular sleeping bags is compromised, due to the more open, non-conforming cut.
