Up for sale is this newly reconditioned Conrad Johnson MF-200 stereo power amplifier in silver finish. Read up on the Stereophile article for a fully-detailed review. Pure Class A up to 10 watts, then switches over to A/B topology up to well beyond its 200WPC rating. The bass control is nice and textured, the lower midrange has a good amount of heft, and the highs sound natural - attack, sustain and release are all spot on. It's quite an amazing power amplifier, but it's too large for my room. All caps have been upgraded, and she's barely had enough burn-in time (approximately 250 hours) to bloom. She has plenty of headroom and can drive the toughest of loads. I've ran both Magnepan 1.7is (4 ohm, stable load), and KEF LS-50 Metas (dip down to 1.7 ohms) without a glitch.
