I'm thrilled to offer for sale this hand-carved fine Chinese blood red and green nephrite jade carving depicting a foo dog horse and featuring exceptionally fine details. The carving measures 8.5" wide x 6.5" tall x 2.5" deep and weighs 3 pounds 7 ounces.

This is in fact nephrite jade, as can be seen in photo 11, and can be heard when one "taps" it; it's also quite cool to the touch.

The carving is in outstanding overall condition, with the only imperfection being the tip of the center of its tail had cracked off and has been glued back on. This is a masterpiece made by a master craftsman! It was purchased in China in the 1950s, but I do not know when it was actually created.
