About Thomas Kinkade

Since 1985 Thomas Kinkade has been one of the most recognized and collected artistes in the nation. Thomas Kinkade is trademarked as "The Painter of Light", by emphasizing light in his paintings it creates a dramatic effect of pictorial lighting, Thomas Kinkade created incredibly romantic and tranquil scenes that seem to glow from within. This incredible ability combined with Thomas Kinkade's choice of wholesome themes has made Thomas Kinkade America's most collected living artist before his sudden passing in 2012.

Room with a View – Excellent condition

"Room with a View", was painted in 1987 and limited to 950 pieces. Although Thomas Kinkade never stated if this was an actual location, it looks very similar to Thompson Falls in Wyoming. The genre is “Great Outdoors”.

This sold out piece (#515) is rare, as only 950 prints were ever made and it can only be obtained (even Galleries must forage) from the secondary market, and currently they can't be found anywhere. This truly is a rare piece.

This piece was only made in Standard Numbered Edition in only one size (35x23). SN Editions are individually hand numbered and highlighted, then authenticated by The Thomas Kinkade Company's double referencing authorization system using DNA technology.

Kinkade’s early pieces were made in paper; later, pieces were made in canvas. This piece was made in both (most were made in paper, few made in canvas). Canvas is much more desirable due to viewing texture and durability. This version is in CANVAS, further adding to the rarity.

This piece has a Walnut frame custom made by Kinkade National Archive in Monterey, CA. The total size with frame is 42"x31". Before Thomas Kinkade died, he personally signed the Certificate of Authenticity adding to the value.

Phone appraisal was $2,805. Certificate of authenticity included. Kept in smoke free environment away from sunlight. Comes from a smoke free home. hanks for looking.
