These people fought to retain their land and they WON! I purchased this piece when I went to live on their islands to get to know them as I have been intrigued by the since I first heard of the in 1975 when I lived in Peru and Bolivia. This unusual piece took 'forever' to make. I was just looking at it with a microscope to see the minute zillions of hand made stitches necessary to make something like this. So many tiny stitches! It takes them a very long time to accomplish this! The size is 15" x 16". Special and rare.
