Defined by the Square-meshed knotted designs, this needlework style was popular among 16th century aristocracy, and currently making a revival since the 1970's. Meticulously hand knotted by deft fingers. In the same smoke-free/pet-free family since the 1950's. It was my Mothers (long ago deceased). Scalloped edges all around are 5.5" wide. Edwardian Modano Italian filet crochet lace tablecloths are exquisite textile pieces characterized by their intricate lacework.
