It was made by Preisner Pewter (which was established in 1935 by 3 brothers and was made in the USA!) Beautiful wood handle! Apparently, for crumbs, etc. off the dining table. You open it with your thumb and use your other hand to sweep crumbs, etc. off the dining table. Repurpose for whatever you want to use it for. I have had it 30 years and it was already antique then. Photo also shows marking on the bottom. Very clean and perfect inside.
