condition: new
Thick, warm wool. Made by the women of the Tzotzil tribe of San Juan Chamula (Chiapas, Mexico). The Tzotzil people are known for wool, particularly in its transformation into beautiful articles of clothing. It is comprised of 5 pieces stitched/embroidered together and embellished in places with a different color wool. It has simple closures of three braided wool ties. Measuring it flat, the torso is 26" wide. The length from collar to bottom is 29". It is 26" wide across the shoulders. The sleeves measured from the shoulder panel are 19" long. Interesting, rustic jacket. Thick and warm and handmade. Photos show front and back.
