At present, this massive 17' wide neon sign reads "TAIPEI TOKYO." But the letters can be interchanged, as they are affixed by screws in the sheet metal on the back panel. There are two separate panels: one of which (currently displaying "AIPEI") is 7 feet wide x 7" deep x 7" tall; and the other of which (currently displaying "I TOKYO") is 10 feet wide x 7" deep x 7" tall. Together, the two panels are 17 feet wide and display the 11 letters featured in the arrangement of "TAIPEI TOKYO."
Each of the two panels contains a 120 volt, 60 Hz transformer. Each of the 11 letters, which are approximately 4" deep x 20" tall x 13" wide, is illuminated by two light bulbs. The panels and letters all have excellent structural integrity, the transformers are good, and the letters all illuminate.
