There is a posting for a 1 oz gold bar from Perth Mint for $2900, which is nearly $1000 below spot of $3800. Do not fall for it, as it is a fake. See image which compares a verified fake vs a legit one.

If you doubt me, Think for a second: gold is hot right now. Why would someone sell on craigslist for nearly $1,000 below spot? Even if you're pressed to cash, any dealer will give you within 5% of spot.

I encourage you to email the guy and call him out, or better yet, arrange a fake meet up so he can just sit there and wait like a the chump he is.
