3 Qing Dynasty (from 1644 to 1912) 4-crab plates. They were obtained by the present owner at the market in Baguio, Philippines, in 1978 and used for display only. It's said that this style of plate conveys a "happy and prosperous posterity" to the owner, and that the center figure means "longevity." Each plate has 4 crabs painted around the center calligraphy.

Light blue: 7.3 oz, 6 1/4" x 1". $50
