I am selling this reluctantly because I can't justify the space for having two large machines, and I bought a Janome M17, which includes all the things I love about the M7 but adds the embroidery unit. Since I bought the M17 from a private party, I could not trade in the M7 and so need to sell it on the private market. I will eventually put it on eBay if necessary but I am hoping someone more local might buy and enjoy it.
This M7 was purchased brand new from Beginnings Quilt Shop in Hendersonville in 2023. It has performed perfectly in every way. Don't be put off by machines that don't have "free arms". I have made a blouse using this machine, including sleeves and armholes and it couldn't have been easier, especially with the Accuflex foot. Having that nice big flat area to work on is optimal for the majority of sewing tasks. I was so impressed by the Janomes that I bought a 20-year-old Janome as my workshop machine and it still works perfectly too.
Since I bought this M7, the M7 has been discontinued and replaced by the M8. The only real difference is that the M8 has a built-in stitch regulator for quilting. However, upon doing a lot of research I find that many (most?) quilters initially like stitch regulation but then figure out that it is easier not to use it at all. I have done FMQ on this M7 and was delighted with the results and the large area to work in.
The M7 originally retailed for $8,000. I paid $875 for the table (new). The machine and table are in perfect condition and come with all original accessories, which includes an extension table (in case you take it somewhere else or want to use it on your own table) and a soft cover.
