Thangkas are paintings depicting various Buddhist historical figures and deities. For sale are thangkas from the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, prepared and painted following centuries-old tradition by graduates of the Bhutan School of Traditional Arts.

The paintings are done with mineral pigments on cotton cloth. The thangkas are stitch-framed in a traditional-style brocade of yellow, red, and blue. The brocade is a heavy cotton fabric, hand-woven on a traditional back-strap loom by a Bhutanese artisan. Various Buddhist figures and deities are available. Price varies according to size and complexity of the painting. Please contact me if you have questions,
