It is not an especially large home, so whomever moves into the open room will need solid communication skills and a gift for space efficiency.
There is a great deal of storage underneath the home which may help in cocreating a living space that flows for all three of us.

The house is very vegetarian friendly but a couple roommates eat some meat as well. A perfect match would be a musician or someone who likes being around music. The roommates do like to have fun but are not too crazy (you will be able to sleep at night). The house has a large kitchen with gas stoves and marble countertops, a dining room, a huge family room with lots of comfy furniture, and a gas fireplace that really warms up the downstairs. There is a large front porch that gets good sunlight all day (great for reading, music making, or whatever else you can imagine). It truly is a beautiful home for a very reasonable price. We feel very lucky to have found it. Utilities do not amount to more than about $30/person each month.

Three bedroom, two level, front porch and back deck, no yard (house is on a hill, therefore no upkeep), hardwood floors downstairs, carpet upstairs. My girlfriend and I will share the master bedroom/bath. The other two rooms share a bathroom. There is also another half bath downstairs. The house is well insulated and energy efficient. Fireplace. About the House:
Parking is available on street and on the lawn..plenty of it to go around.
Upstairs: Stairs are covered in green astro turf. Floors upstairs are tiled yellow and white, living room, kitchen with fridge, stove, and oven, no dishwasher. ...cement counter tops. There is a full bathroom. The 2 rooms for rent are both upstairs, they are of a vast size, with nice views.
Downstairs: Laundry room with a washer/dryer. A storage closet. A full bathroom. One bedroom which I live in, and a basement area which two people are sharing.
There is also a back deck with storage underneath. Compost pile in the backyard. Backporch overlooks one of the few chestnut trees left in the world...backyard is BIG. It has a fire pit. There is a functional garden not currently functioning. It's hibernating.

We are two Christian ladies in our mid-twenties looking for a third to join us in our home! I do computer programming and I'm usually holed up in my bedroom working during that time. Just pop out to eat occasionally or walk out on the front porch for a phone call.
I have two daughters.
I know I'm biased, but my girls are pretty chill and down-to-earth. They are clean, do laundry and keep their room clean. They have the entire upstairs, so there isn't kid stuff strewn everywhere. You'll just have to put up with school artwork on the refrigerator. ;-) They are at my place three days/week. When they aren't with me I'm usually not home and the entire house is empty for a couple days at a time.
Quiet
I kinda prefer the sanctuary of being at home. Not a big fan of the house being "party central". So I don't have a lot of people over - my girlfriend is over a couple nights a week - and the occasional get together - but we're not late night party people. It's mostly a place to relax and recharge. (Not in the weird new age-y sense though ;-) )
Pets
We already have two cats and two dogs. The dogs are outside dogs, in a large fenced in yard. I think we're kind of at the limit.

About Your Room
Your room is on the backside of the house so it is very quiet and private. Plenty of room for one person.
Besides your room, you can have the main floor bathroom for the most part. It's a large bathroom. It's also the bathroom visitors/friends would use that stop by, so it would need to stay reasonably clean. Your bathroom also has the washer and dryer in it as well, so that's about the only other time people would be in there.
The shower is entirely yours. I use the girl's shower upstairs.
Basically we're pretty casual here and looking for a roommate that is also pretty relaxed and wants a place to escape.
$400 per month and utilities (utilities are super cheap. very efficient house.).
We would split power, water, internet, and cable...probably about $75 a month. I don't believe you will need to sign a lease, you would just have to sign a liability waiver of some sort with the apartment complex. I've covered the security deposit and all so you won't have to worry about any of that. I don't have any pets, but I'm definitely cool with a dog. The pet fee is pretty high though for the apartment complex. But feel free to bring along your dog...

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to drive downtown, depending on the traffic lights, and the parkway is less than a half-mile down the road.
