1933 NY Giants Autographed Baseball (Original) (Asheville)

I believe this to be a 1933 team signed baseball, signed by the then NY Giants. Autographs include: Ott, Hubbell, Jackson, Terry and more.....
Ball and autographs are in EXCELLENT Condition.

I obtained this ball from a friend of the family, her husband passed away, and he kept this along with other items locked in a metal box. She was going to throw things away, and then asked if we wanted the stuff, hence I wound up in posession of these items. The autographs are crisp, clear and authentic, and the ball has red and blue stitching.

Collector's Plate (Lake Lure, NC) $6

This beautiful plate has a dark pink and white Oriental design. The back of the plate is marked with "Manufacture Imperiale Royale," "Fabrication Belge," "Made in Belgium" and a crown with the word "Nimy" below it. There is very little paint loss and a small chip on the back edge of the plate which is not seen when the plate is displayed. This plate would look lovely in any collector's plate display or as an accent in a home with Oriental decor.

This L.E. Smith amber basket is in mint condition. Baskets are one of the unique specialties of L.E. Smith Glass Company. Each basket is formed in an antique mould. The handles are shaped by artisans from molten glass and attached to the bowl. This turn of the century pattern is a beautiful classic.

Smith Glass Co. has been crafting handmade, American pressed glass since 1907. It is one of the few remaining American handmade glass factories.

Americana Star Quilt (Lake Lure, NC) $25

This hand quilted, machine pieced quilt has never been used. It measures 58"X50" and is just right to use as a throw or wall hanging.The material is very soft cotton and, with its Americana Star pattern, it is a piece you will want to display during patriotic holidays. I bought the quilt, advertised as new, at a local auction. The colors were not quite right for the room I was going to display it in and that's why I am selling it.

Lehman's Hardware Mini Brite Washboard (Lake Lure, NC) $8

This old-fashioned washboard is made for lifting tough stains. It has a unique spiral crimp surface that is very effective for dirt removal. You can use this washboard for decorative purposes, but it is made to withstand daily use. The frame is fully mortised and the head is "lock cornered" like fine furniture. It measures 18"H x 8-1/2"W. This item would look great displayed in a laundry room or it comes in very handy when you need to remove dirt and stains from clothing.

Lehman's Hardware in Ohio was founded by Jay Lehman in 1955 to serve the local Amish and others without electricity. This hardware is known for its old-fashioned, high-quality merchandise.

I've done what research I have time for on these. The 7up, Brownie and NuGrape bottles all match some completed sales on ebay which ranged $5-$12 per bottle.
'Saco' was a drink bottled by 7up in Asheville; hence the name:S.A.C.O= Seven-up Asheville Co.
There are 12 identical 10 oz Pepsis here with a pattern of 'Pepsi Cola'embossed in a swirl vertically from the top down to the label. Matches one sold recently on ebay for $15.

Another wedding present we don't quite know what to do with! We displayed it at the wedding, but it's been in the box ever since. It came all the way from Germany from some relatives. There's a lovely legend that goes with the cup and supposedly 'Love, faithfulness and good luck await the couple who drinks from this cup.'

It's 95% pewter and safe to use for drinking. Comes with original box, bridal cup, and paper booklet explaining legend in English and German. The knife blade, fork, and sharpening rod are stainless steel with a decorative floral ferrules of sterling silver joining them to the beautiful mother of pearl handles. The knife blade is 15" long and marked "Landers, Frary and Clark, Aetna Works." The meat fork is 12" long with a raised bridge imprinted with the patent date July 6, 1886. The sharpening steel is ribbed and 14" long. The box has unusual scrolled stud metal hinges suggesting an Art Nouveau Moorish theme. All three pieces are structurally sound and in pristine condition including the velvet case.

Fantastic panel work with more than 24 raised horizontal, vertical, and bat wing panels around sides and interior of knee hole. Full finished raised panel back. Large fitted interior with 24 vertical and horizontal pigeon holes with 2 interior draws, 2 pencil/pen troughs and 2 secret sliding compartments. Double letter holders, one on each side. Automatic drawer lock/unlock with opening and closing of roll. Large center drawer between pedestals and one pull out writing board. Removable plate glass protects writing surface. Desk disassembles for easy moving. Mint condition. 50"W x 49"H x 32"D. Great size for home office.

Rare BILTMORE DAIRY PRODUCTS Sign CASH Fuel Oil Co. This sign is made of fiberglass and is embossed with the advertisement. It measures a whopping 66" long x 41" high x 4" wide and is in a black wooden frame. There are two small holes in the fiberglass and one small crack in the upper left hand corner. None of it distracts from the vintage look of the sign. This is a very RARE find and excellent to add to your advertising collection.

Rare hand-made antique prairie field chest. Primitive pine construction. Early 1900s. Chest is well made and simple in design. These chests weere invaluable to scientists, adventurers, photographers, etc. when they went on field expeditions. More practical and durable than trunks or fine furniture, they offered a variety of storage for equipment, journals, and papers. Lift top opens to a 9"H x 34"W x 19"D interior storage area. Chest has six drawers of different sizes. The top two are 3-1/2" deep x 15" wide. The top of the lower four drawers is 1-1/2" deep x 30-1/2" wide. The other 3 drawers are 2-1/2" deep x 30-1/2" wide. All drawers have original faceted glass knobs. Overall chest dimensions: 34"W x 33-1/2"H x 19"D. It has not be restored.

Mid-1800's Concord Doctor's Carriage (believed to be 1845). Restored between 2000 and 2002 and used only once since for a wedding. Steel rims around all wooden wheels. Equipped with side suspension and under carriage springs. Front wheels are 38" diameter. Rear wheels are 42" diameter. Outside of wheel to outside of wheel is 8'-4" (length). Outside of wheel to outside of wheel is 5'-8" (width) including wheel hubs. Horse shaft is 8'-8" long. Body is black; wheels, springs and horse shaft were painted red. Seat is 2'-7 1/2" long by 16" deep. Back of seat is 2'-7 1/2" wide by 1'-6" tall. Excellent condition.
