The truck has a small V8 and runs and drives with about 50%+ tread left on tires, small body lift

I have a 1982 300 TDT wagon
it is in mixed condition, some very good and in some areas it needs some work
the really good is that this car comes from CENTRAL florida
so it doesn't have the rust issues or frame/body issues sooo many do
this IMO makes it an exc candidate for full restoration if desired
we have had it as a "rolling restoration" we use it as a daily driver and our intention
was to completely restore it but I just really don't like or have the time to work on it
my wife really likes the car but I just hate working on cars sooo I'd like to see it go
to someone who's not going get the bad attitude I do every time it needs something ;-)

we have had a lot of suspension work done about $2k worth and this seems to be
what is required of any vintage car, these are the parts that wear out and we have
replaced many of them incl replacing the hydraulic shocks with modern gas ones
it has a strong engine just under 200,000 and a good tranny, it has more power than many
others and mechanics we have taken it to have positively commented on that
the body cosmetics and interior are in good but not perfect condition, some vinyl rips and such
but not beat
it has a modern/hi end CD/radio w/ Ipod or other player input
(speakers are still originals and not good)
it passed safety inspection last week and is a daily driver that is very dependable
it has never not started or broken down on us, does pretty good in the winter even
tho it does not have a core heater, we have a garage and on really cold days we heat it
that's all that has been needed to avoid cold morning problems, some diesels are
a real pain in the winter, this one hasn't been
it has the fuel lines replaced with poly ones that can run biodiesel or WVO
it does not have a WVO preheater but I have used WVO in it in the summer
comes with a service manual and some extra parts, it has the correct mercedes jack and such
areas where it needs work;
it leaks oil, most do, this can be tightened up but it is expensive to have a commercial mechanic do it
many vintage merc owners just let them leak
despite just passing inspection it really could use a couple tires and will need some brake work down the line
the (expensive) battery recently started having some trouble holding a charge so it's needs a new battery
possibly alternator but I haven't looked in to it at all
odds and ends, some body trim needs replacement (I have) or light repair
some interior bits, little things, it needs (not to run) some tinkering and this sort of
car is best owned by someone who likes to tinker, a vintage car always requires some attention
I've been ignoring it for about the last year and who ever gets it should go thru things, replace fluids and filters
that sort of stuff, it's ready for some maintenance but again nothing that stops it from running
we're in west asheville and any seriously interested person should be prepared to make an appt to see it
